Projects in 2025

2025 has been a fantastic inaugural year for GC&L

Exciting commercial and domestic projects have kept Simon extremely busy this year. In addition to the ongoing project of renovating previously neglected (30 acre) grounds of a multi million pound hotel transformation on the west coast of Scotland, Simon has worked on local gardens around the north east both small and large.

The projects have ranged from fortnightly garden maintenance, to relaying turf, creating borders, making gardens beautiful to be 'Rightmove' ready, repairing fences, installing beautiful stoned borders and creating fantastic back yard oasis'.

This page will showcase a few of these projects and if you would like more information, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

The 1st stage of the project was to clear the rubbish from the yard. The brief from the client was to create an oasis, which this certainly was not!

Once the rubbish had been cleared, the next stage was to prepare the tarmac for painting. This was key to ensure the paint had a good, stable base and also to keep the moss at bay.

Finally the frame for the new deck was constructed. The client asked for a raised seating area for her morning coffee. This corner received all the morning sun so was perfect.

The client was delighted with the new raised deck seating area. The large terracota pots with burgandy, low maintenance cordyline palms looked stunning. The trellis and pink pots added a pop of colour.

The sun lounger area was a real winner in the yard. Not only did it create zoning to make the yard feel bigger, it gave the client a lounge area in the private corner of the yard.

The rug that the client purchased years before, dreaming of her 'one day' oasis, matched the new tarmac paint perfectly.

With the surrounding grounds being a peaceful retreat for guests to stroll, it was key to have every corner looking just perfect.
